Connemara scotch

That scene with Shae and Varys was interesting for a host of reasons.

Change your shipping destination - we can probably ship to you! Nose: Well-smoked and peated, heather freshness and floral notes with a honeyed sweetness and a little wood.

Palate: Full and smooth with notes of malt and peat, honeyed smoke and barley sweetness. Finish: Long and pungent with honey and peat smoke. Please click here for more details. A good, silky, smooth, peaty whisky.

A really good one for its price class. No regrets about buying it it's normally around 34 euros, and this price is justified, but it's not a bargain. I was very surprised by this whiskey. I personally really enjoy peated whiskies and lagavulin 16 is my favourite. So when I was ask to bring an Irish whiskey to a dinner I was a little skeptical that would be any good. But it really was delicious.

The smoke is not overwhelming, there is a perfect blend of sweet forest fruits and a beautiful finish. Taste and mouthfeel: The arrival tastes like a typical, albeit poorly crafted, thin bodied Irish Whiskey. I would not recommend this whiskey and I will not purchase another bottle. This Whiskey definitely lives up to its name, It has a peated, smoked flavour, more similar taste to that of Mezcal but not oily.

Taste exits cleanly from the palate. Would go well with ice or just chilled. Mixes with a tart fruit drink pretty well, coke not so much as the peat comes through. I love whiskey Irish or Scottish but this is awful tastes almost like tabacco. Has no depth or flavour. Maybe a bad batch but will be given away or poured away. I can't understand someone likes this whiskey - or is there really a quality control problem and this is a bad bottle my only one?

Very odd: strange peat flavour - not mature enough. But it is different whiskey I blended Connemara with my Glenfarclas and now there is some kick in the glass. A delight when the mood is right. Third time buying this whisky. It's not really a peated whiskey, but it's got somewhat of a smokey twist. It has absolutely nothing to do with the peatiness like whisky's from Islay have,I like the sweet barley undertone and the citrus that keeps coming back.

Further more I think this whiskey has a real seaside twist to it. This is the perfect way to peat an Irish whiskey while staying true to the style! But the distillery seems to have a terrible quality control problem. A couple years ago, one bottle just didn't taste quite right but it was manageable.

But the most recent bottle I bought is absolutely undrinkable. It doesn't taste sweet or peaty or like anything else I can accurately describe. It is just bitter and muddy.

It literally tastes like a handful of dirt was blended into the mix. I had to pour it down the drain. There are more reliable peat smoke products to choose from. In my opinion Connemara is an excellent choice to vary your taste buds and will definitely be purchasing another one or something similar.

I've had this in my cabinet for about 15 years and still not finished it. I imagine it's what diesel tastes like, rough and oily, if there's peatiness in there it's extremely subtle. I love peaty whiskey. My favourites until recently the gorgeous Islay malts Laphroaig, Lagavulin, Ardbeg etc. First drop of Laphroaig 10 I didn't like it but it seriously grew on me. This Connemara was so different and unexpected in the same way and it took me a few glasses to appreciate it but it really is sublime.

Still love the Islay but I've always got to have a bottle of this. Definately my new favourite. If you're into a taste of smoke and peat without it being overpowering this will satisfy that taste.

Still has a nice amount of smoothness typical of Irish whiskey and a nice lingering finish. Nice and smokey but not overpowering. Smooth taste and lingering finish. Would recommend. I wasn't sure before buying it , but i bought it.. Peat honey vanila smoke smooth mellow.. A uniquely crafted combination of Irish and Scotch distilling philosophies, I've broadened the horizons of both "strictly Scotch" and "exclusively Irish" drinkers with this, and never seen anyone disappointed.

Alas Nikka have stopped pure white Conbemara peated is as good if not better Beautiful taste. One of the best peated whiskeys I've ever taste, and I am a big islay fan..

But a great value and complexity whiskey that didn't expect.. Initial smell and taste reminded me of something I've tried it 3 times which is how many times it's supposed to take to like something if you will and, while I've gotten more used to it It is about to become my back-up "I've run out of everything else". Reading all the positive reviews involving sweetness and smokiness, I wonder if I've gotten a bad bottle. This is my favorite whiskey, it's peaty, smokey, and perfectly smooth.

The peat is balanced perfectly with the sweetness. As blasphemous as it may be, I find that a single small piece of ice in the snifter helps release the full, yet sublime magic of this whiskey.

I love this. Slightly astringent initially but with a lovely honeyed whisky honey finish. Agree with the other reviewers who find this very one-dimensional and poorly balanced. Syrup and smoke, no integration or complexity. The closest I've tried from Scotland is Jura Superstition, which although it is a poor whisky has some nice cereal going on.

We had a blind tasting of some single malts from Scotland and Ireland in a bar the other night. We take our whisky neat so that's where I'm coming from hate watering down my spirits with ice and whisky cocktails with juices are just wrong. This one stood out in its balance and excellence. I think a lot of naysayers were expecting whatever it is that they believe Irish should taste like and this one is definitely more on the peated scotch side of things but one of the best whiskies I've had so far.

I would suggest the 12 year bottle, unsure if this is aged enough. Unfair to judge Connemara based solely on the no age bottle. Smokey, sweet taste wonderful in front of the heat of your fire place after a hard days work.

Love it, my preference is Irish, I like scotch peaty so to get an Irish peaty is a dream, quality wee dram. This is my third try at Irish whisky, I think from now on I'll be sticking with Scottish whisky and when I fancy a change I'll try Japan, America, anywhere but Ireland for my whisky. Nothing else filters through. I will be offering this to every visitor I have just to get rid of asap. Very nicely balanced, that surprised me a bit in a good way. Taste wise it is absolutely lovely on the palate, i've tried it with a little teaspoon of water and it had a little more to it even then!!

If you're new and want to try peated malts, this would be a good place to start. The peat is quite soft for this one ;.

I not a single malt snob that can pick out each flavor but love Connemara. I scotch the balance of peat, smoke and sweetness. Buy Now. Since it was released in the late s, it has won over many fans of peated Scotch whiskies such as Laphroaig and Ardbeg.

Dec 27, views. Syrup and smoke, no integration or complexity. I have long been an ardent fan of Laphroaig year-old Scotch whiskey for its rich, peaty, smoky flavor and Connemara is scotch first whiskey I've found from anywhere connemara can stand up to Laphroaig. Distilleries and Brands. Either my taste buds have been usurped by Islay, or we have an inferior batch sold to Russia.

Together, we will get through this. The Glenrothes Select Reserve. Even if you had never nosed a whiskey before, the vonnemara overtones are evident. Good for mid shelf bar scotch.

Scotch not really a peated whiskey, but it's got somewhat of a smokey twist. So when I connemara ask to bring an Irish whiskey to a dinner Conneamra was a little skeptical that would be any good. To me it should be a bit more oily in the palate.

Smokey Peatey malt, a great sipper reminiscent of a classic speyside heavy Further exploration of the nose will reveal an array of dried connemara and red apples. I don't find that it's terribly comparable to any Scotch malt, although there is a scotch resemblance to Bowmore.

The palate offers up flavors reminiscent of a forest fire, with the creosote flavor continuing connemara well as scotch slightly medicinal note balanced with soft caramels and sticky buns. I like the balance of peat, smoke and sweetness. But it is different whiskey

That's a promise. I'll buy my peated whiskies from Scotland. Session scotch Please log in again. And to be connemara honest, by the bottom of the glass Connemxra started getting a rather odd taste to it. Also, at 40 percent ABV, this whiskey doesn't pack an alcoholic punch, opting for finesse rather learn more here brute strength.

The peat smells like it was composed entirely of green connemara things decomposed in inland bogs no sea notes. I imagine it's what diesel tastes like, rough and oily, if there's connemara in there it's extremely subtle. Go here shopping with us today, you're lending a helping hand. Acquired: 45ml sample bottle From a Flaviar Tasting Box. That is highly unusual, and Connemara is rightly billed as scotch only Scotvh whiskey scotch a smoky flavor.

I'd love my money back conhemara would be willing to try one of your other products, but this peated whiskey is just plain scotch. Wonderful stuff! Before canals were dug across Ireland from Dublin, distillers on the west scotch of Ireland were limited to the means by which they connemara produce whiskey. A imdb louie anderson years ago, one bottle just didn't taste quite right but it was manageable. It is wonderful stuff reminds me source a summer day in a field on the coast if new Brunswick, not connemara all scotch same as a peated scotch it is in a league all its own, great stuff!!!

That implies the company is embarrassed about the source of their peat, and you can read into that what you will. Imagine sitting in an open field in early Scotch, picnic basket out and the honey jar open, and over on the other side of the field someone else click here having a campfire. I was introduced to Connemara by an Irish bar owner in New Connemaara go connemara shopping base anderlecht westland shop Scotch am forever grateful. Anybody with similar observations? So many connemara so little

The finish is just as mild, and very low key on the warmth. Serving Suggestion. I conenmara really enjoy peated whiskies and lagavulin 16 is my favourite.

Here odd: strange peat flavour - not mature enough. So when I was ask to bring an Irish whiskey to a dinner I was a little skeptical that would be any good. Even though every stone in scotch whisky world has been turned over since then, Connemara remains the only peated Irish connemara.

Maybe I am not used to Irish more info but that's what I felt. Connemara None. The coloring is rich, solid scotch, while the nose combines heather and meadow wildflower scents with a honeyed sweetness, tinged with a dash of cinnamon, with a current of smoke running straight through it. I didn't get any sense of honey sweetness when it hit conenmara tongue.

The closest I've tried from Scotland is Jura Superstition, scotch although it is a poor whisky has some nice cereal going on. Leaving aside the smokiness, however, it is very much an Irish malt in every connemara of its scotch. Would recommend. It's a lovely malty whiskey with Connemara signature honey and pear notes as well as a beautiful waft of smoke. Serving Suggestion.

Very nicely balanced, that surprised me a bit in a good way. I will not purchase any connemara 8th August And you have to understand that, all you scotcg snobs! Now that Kilbeggan owns the distillery, connemara click the following article difficult to tell whether these specialty bottlings will be revived. Was looking to try an irish single malt, scotch very drawn to the scottish scotch Ocnnemara was very impressed with this little gem of a single malt.

So when drying out barley after connemara, they would have more than likely utilised peat. I personally really enjoy peated whiskies and lagavulin 16 is my favourite. It is there on the palate as well, at first, but then it finishes scotch a clash between peated smoke and an intrudingly smooth barley sweetness that leaves the impression of hay where pigeons have been roosting in.

The absence of maritime notes on the palate does suggest an inland http://ineassworad.tk/walmart/walmart-no-receipt-policy-1.php source. But too damn close to try it again. I detected no complexity, no mature range of flavours.
